Meatball Ingredients:
1 Lbs Lean Ground Turkey
1/3 C Breadcrumbs
2 Tbsp Milk
1 Large Egg, beaten
1 ½ tsp Dried Sage, (1 Tbsp fresh sage chopped)
3 Clove Garlic, minced
½ tsp Sea Salt
½ tsp Ground Black Pepper
Gravy Ingredients:
2 Tbsp Butter
1 Medium Yellow Onion, diced
3 Tbsp Unbleached All-Purpose Flour
2 C Beef or Chicken Stock
1 ½ tsp Dried Sage (1 Tbsp fresh sage chopped)
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375°.
Mix all the meatball ingredients until thoroughly blended.
Roll the meatball mixture into 1-inch meatballs and place on parchment lined cookie sheet. It should make 12 – 14 meatballs. Place sheet of meatballs in the oven and cook for 25 minutes.
While meatballs are cooking, in medium to large saucepan melt the butter. Once butter is melted sauté the onions until translucent.
Sprinkle flour over the onions until thoroughly coated. Slowly while whisking constantly, Pour in the beef/chicken broth.
Heat to low boil, continuing to stir until gravy is thickened.
When done, place meatballs in serving bowl and cover with the gravy.
Serve hot with mashed potatoes, rice, pasta or sage stuffing
