My Roots
Out of desperation, my sisters and I began our culinary journy when I was age 8. Our mother, bless her heart was an excellent school teacher and a master at many talents. Unfortunately, cooking was not one of them.

I have learned over the years the most precious gift a chef or cook can have is that of patience. Cooking takes time and the knowledge of what temperatures to use. I have worked in kitchens since I was in college. I attended Simpson College in Indianola, Iowa where my junior and senior years I was selected by the food service hired by the college as the student manager. I chose menus for Sunday Buffets and orchestrated fund raising dinners for the school and the annual Madrigal Dinner.

I have managed restaurants and kitchens where I honed my skills and developed a knack for developing tasty recipes for wholesome foods. Please enjoy the recipes and let me know how you like them.
