Ingredients:
2 C Wide Egg Noodles, cooked
2 large Chicken Breast, grilled & shredded
12 oz. Frozen Corn, thawed
¾ C Fresh Milk
10 oz. Cream of Chicken Condensed Soup
1 Small White Onion Diced
4-5 Clove Garlic, minced
3 Stalk Celery, sliced with leaves
2 C Sharp Cheddar Cheese, shredded, divided
4 Slice Bacon, chopped and fried
1 C French Fried Onion
1 tsp Sea Salt
1 tsp Coarse Ground Black Pepper
Pinch Red Pepper Flakes
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a medium bowl, combine the corn, milk, cream of chicken, onion, garlic, celery, ½ cup cheese, bacon, salt, pepper, and pepper flakes. Mix in the Chicken and then fold in cooked pasta.
Pour mixture into 9x13 casserole dish.
Sprinkle remaining shredded cheese evenly on top. Sprinkle French fried onions over the cheese
Place pan into preheated oven and bake for 30 minutes.
Remove from oven and serve hot
Papa Scott’s Notes:
You can substitute Frozen Peas or Cut Green Beans for the Corn or you can cut the corn to 6 oz. and add 6 oz. of peas or beans.
For a less pronounced onion flavor you can use a yellow onion.
Another substitution you can make is crushed potato chips instead of fried onions for the topping.
