Butter Orange Icing

Using an image from a finished cake to show the icing


Prep Time: 10 min. | Cook Time: n/a | Servings: 1 layer cake


Ingredients:


  • ½ C Butter, softened to almost melting

  • 3 C Confectioner’s Sugar

  • 3 Tbsp Orange Juice

  • ¼ C Pecans, chopped (optional)


Directions:


  1. Cream 3 tablespoons butter or margarine with the confectioners' sugar.

  2. Stir in enough Orange Juice until well blended and smooth to your liking. You can use a little less or more than the recipe calls for.

  3. Spread icing on to cooled cake layers.

  4. Top with chopped pecans if desired. (optional)


Papa Scott's Notes:

This icing is nice compliment to banana cakes, spice cakes and carrot cakes.
